How does it work?
The Grow Fresh Indoor Garden Hydroponics Growing System functions by creating an efficient environment for growing plants indoors without soil. It comprises several key components that enhance the planting experience and accelerate the growth process.
1. **Hydroponic Technology**: This system utilizes hydroponics, a method where plants are grown in a nutrient-rich water solution, allowing for faster growth—up to 3 times faster than traditional soil methods. With 60 planting pods, gardeners can cultivate a diverse array of vegetables, herbs, and fruits year-round.
2. **Water Circulation System**: The system includes a 32L water tank paired with a quiet water pump that ensures continuous water circulation, providing ample oxygen to the plant roots. A visible water level window alerts users when to refill the tank, preventing potential plant stress caused by low water levels.
3. **Full Spectrum LED Grow Light**: The integrated full spectrum LED grow lights are adjustable in height to accommodate plants at various growth stages, ensuring they receive optimal light for photosynthesis, enhancing growth quality and yield by up to 40%.
4. **Smart Socket Integration**: This unique feature allows users to easily set up and utilize the system, while maintaining quiet operation during water circulation. It eliminates interruptions in the growing process, fostering a healthier growing environment.
5. **Mobility and Convenience**: The system has wheels for easy relocation, making it simple to position the indoor garden in areas with optimal light exposure or for convenience during maintenance.
Ultimately, the Grow Fresh system is designed not only for efficiency but also for ease of use, making it an attractive option for indoor gardeners looking to grow fresh produce quickly and effectively.

I bought this system a little over a month ago and I’m really enjoying it. I initially had a problem with a part and the customer service was wonderful – VERY quick, no hassle, eager to help. At this point I have an awesome planter that looks like something out of Scandinavian Design and I’m so happy that I went with the company that backs their product, provides replacement parts and answers e-mails. It’s not the cheapest planter out there but you often get what you pay for… like a 2 year warranty, quality craftsmanship and timely support. For something this large (you don’t want to have to send it back), this is very important!! Life is not perfect and I can’t stress this enough. These people will take care of you.I own 5 other hydroponic setups. It’s a hobby as well as a way to grow inexpensive, healthy, fresh food. This planter is sweet. I only need to worry about water chemistry for one big tank and the lighting clearance and deck space is fairly massive. I can plant starters in every single pod or space them out with the intent to keep the plants in water for a longer time (or indefinitely). The physical pods/baskets are compatible with everything else I own, which is great. Sound is comparable to other hydroponic systems. The lighting is ultra lightweight and easy to move as plants grow. It’s not the most intense light and also, it will not burn your leaves (as has happened to me numerous times) – so follow the directions for placement and you’ll do great. I prefer lower light for longer timeframes than something that burns. I like that it’s not the “smartest” system and it requires some manual input, as smart stuff eventually breaks. The planter has great instructions for assembly and use, but it lacks much detail in the way of cleaning and maintenance. Thus far, I estimate my time cleaning this and performing water chemistry at approximately 1 hour every 3 weeks (it’ll get quicker as you go). Too me, this is a great trade off for such fresh produce. The tank should be cleaned with some regularity however, as a lapse in tank upkeep risks a large number of plants in this setup. I would like to see more information for beginners on how to clean the planter and prevent any problems. This is a wonderful planter than performs as expected. If you are ready to add something cool to your hydroponic arsenal, it’d strongly consider this option. I’m already growing my entire collection of fall seedlings for the garden!

I purchased this hydroponic garden 2 months ago and have yet to harvest anything. This is my 3rd try planting and so far it looks promising. I can grow produce outdoors successfully so I thought this would be straightforward and simple. No. It’s not as easy as the videos make it look. There are a lot of variables.Overall, the system can work but it is not plug and play. You will likely have to purchase additional materials and there is a significant learning curve as well. You may have to learn by trial and error. Be sure the activate the warranty, you will need to contact customer service often until you get the hang of it. I bought the system for $350 on Amazon after the $150 discount. I would not pay more than $200 for this system, especially since you have to purchase additional materials they say are not necessary.Customer service is responsive but you are dealing with representatives that are just looking up answers, not users of the product, and English is not their first language.Additional materials needed and lessons learned:•Warranty- register for the warranty, you will need it! Contact customer service ASAP with any issue.•Aquarium heater – if your ambient temperature is <72°. My garden is set up in our finished basement and the water temp does not get above 65°.•Aquarium aerator- I don’t believe there is enough flowing water to have sufficient oxygen for the plants.•Water Pump – after two months the pump started making a rattling noise and I had customer service replace it. It is also not very powerful, so the water is somewhat stagnate.•pH- Buy a pH and EC reader as well as pH Up/ Down solution.•Lamps – Only 4 are provided and do not provide high enough quality light. They are pretty low watts. You can purchase lamps from other vendors on Amazon that are compatible. I used zip ties to add 2 more lamps. Download an app that can read your light intensity.•Water- I use Hard Water then adjust the pH. The first two tries I used soft water. The first two tries I grew a nasty pink/brown biofilm that covered everything and choked out the plants (see photos). This time I used hard water from my spigot and the water is mostly clear. Customer service says you can use either softened or hard water, I disagree.•Fertilizer- I purchased liquid A and B fertilizer because it is easier. They only provide granular fertilizer and the A granules do not dissolve easily. Also, the instructions are a little confusing. The first time you fertilize you will add 160ml of both A and B solution. After that, you will add 5ml of each solution to every Liter of water you add to your tank each week. Since the instructions are confusing, I added 160ml of both A and B the second feeding and burnt my plants. They turned yellow and started wilting, especially the arugula, but seem to have recovered, thankfully.•H2O2- I add hydrogen peroxide to the water to kill bacteria, algae and mold. Customer service says don’t do this.•Seeds- they do not provide you with seeds. You can technically sprout anything, but not all plants fit in the system or grow well together. It does come with sponges and spong holders. Look for small heads of lettuce and Tiny Tim tomato seeds.Good luck!
